Sleepless
It was early one winter's evening and the snow started to fall. Very soon the fresh snow lying on the ground
lit up the surrounding darkness. Mr Peep, wanting to be the first foot in the snow, walked out to see the
dimness of the evening light.
He couldn't sleep and went walking again. The light had changed and the pink sky had coloured the snow pink.
He tried to sleep again but couldn't let go of the thoughts of the snow and how the garden may have changed.
He was still walking when the cold light of the day and the dark snow filled clouds reflected the chilled
winter blue.
Sometimes in our minds we walk around problems, going over and over old ground, hoping to come up with a
different answer. All we're doing is walking the same walk, but coloured by different times of the day or
night.
